About Us
Members of the Hillsdale Wind Symphony are mostly from local communities. There are a few amazing people that travel from the Flint and Lansing areas every week.
There is tremendous talent in this band and every person has a special reason why they volunteer their time to share the love and passion of music with each other. The wide spectrum of age, professions, and talent that exists in this group is amazing. We have music teachers, dentists, preachers, general education teachers, people that are retired, professional performers, high school students, college students, junior high students, and the list goes on and on. But what is really amazing is the chemistry and overwhelming energy that this group produces every Tuesday night. There is nothing but support, love, passion, and laughter here and there is an unbelievable atmosphere.
If you would like to be a part of this family please join us at Hillsdale College every Tuesday night from 7:00pm to 9:00pm. You are more than welcome to just show up (even if you haven't picked up your instrument in 40 years....yes, we have those people here too!)
